bike Alien Bikes exists to provide fixed gear purists with the gear they need, but can't get locally. It's nice to support your local bike shop, but you can't expect them to have all manner of fixed gear stuff and expect it to be inexpensive too. By all means, buy your tires, your bars, your seats, your whatever at the LBS, and then turn with a clean conscience to Alien Bikes for your real fix.

We at Alien Bikes have chosen and spec'ed our products not based on some calculated market research, but rather based on what we want to ride. (When I said we, you know I meant me...) We figure that if we want bikes like this, somebody else does too. Welcome. Have a look around.

Aesthetics play a big part in fixed gear cycling, and if you think flip-flop hubs are an eye-sore (like we do), and that holes (water bottle, brakes, fenders!?!) ruin a frame, you've come to the right place. You are a fellow purist. While there are many great high-zoot products out there for purists, and bags of cheap stuff for the non-discerning rider, the selection for those purists on a budget is much more limited. We hope you'll find what you need here. Enough chit-chat, have a look at the gear.

Cycling isn't as dangerous as most people think, but it can be, particularly if you are stupid. Riding without brakes, or without a helmet doesn't make you stupid any more than riding with a brake and a helmet makes you smart. Use your brain and decide for yourself, but think long and hard about it and don't blame anyone but yourself for the consequences. And always ride smart no matter what your descision. Even if you're stupid like me ;-)
